My Home

by Caroline Whalley

I amble around my end of terrace
Revelling in the time spent
re fashioning my borrowed triangle of earth
knowing what it has meant to be gifted this space
Casting seeds like spells and implanting
trees and shrubs I now embrace
Part of my extended self, now I am this place.
