Christine Megson has had a very successful career in education policy and delivery, working in FE as the Principal of Stafford College followed by 7 years as a consultant in central government and then as a freelance specialist. She has worked with schools, LAs and government departments. She has worked at national and international level. She has developed practical approaches to deliver a range of policies from developing Academies, reducing health inequalities, motivating school cooks, parental engagement and improving connectivity in multi agency teams and leadership programmes for support staff. She leads and co-ordinates on the mentoring and coaching programme for the Fabian Society and has successfully supported the opening of successful new schools in challenging areas. She has been a consultant for The Key support services for over five years. She balances her work with having fun with her family, travelling and attending her local theatre in Stratford. Christine is energetic, tireless and dedicated and a joy to be with.
Worked as a teacher for many years and then as a School Adviser and Inspector. She worked in Schools, for OfSTED and on national and international programmes. Her main interest was working with young people and employers on work related activities. She semi-retired some years ago and has continued working in education ands her own company that still works with employers and Schools. She also is the joint owner of LINES publishing and has been encouraging friends to join co-publications of work in the SideLINE brand. Linda met Christine back in 2012 when they worked together on some School projects. Linda has written some educational reports with Christine in the past – but is pleased to co-write this first children’s short story with one of her best friends.
